My husband and I have been going to Calis for about 14 years but have always stayed in a small hotel as we prefer the personal touch rather than being just a room number. The hotel then closed so we looked for an alternative, friends had stayed at Caretta and gave it a good name so we thought we would try it. Wow!! if you want the personal touch you get it from all members of staff, the owner Dr John and his wife and family and even down to the dogs Cookie and Lady. You are made to feel so special you are not guests but friends and nothing is too much trouble. If you want to go somewhere on an excursion, boat trip, horse riding, turkish bath just ask and your wish is Dr John's command. I can only stress you holiday starts once you get off the plane and are picked up by Duran and taken to Caretta. Everyone is so sad when they have to leave to go home, hence people return year after year which is what we do. We would not give up the holiday at Caretta for anyone or anything.

This was my husband John and my first trip to Turkey and it was by pure chance that we selected The Caretta, how lucky we were!!!!!!
We had come to Turkey to assist our daughter Jodie, in settling in with accomodation etc, really we were just looking for a base to stay in the Calis area. We were not prepared for the experience that we had, both John and Mary are the most sincere and caring couple, although due to circumstances, were weren't at the hotel an awful lot, this was a loss on our part. It was like joining a huge family, all age groups. During the 4 weeks that we stayed there, families kept arriving that had been returning to Caretta for years and the family just got bigger!!!!!!!!
Virtually your every need is catered for - if you are looking for a comfortable relaxing and at times certainly entertaining environment, then The Caretta is the place to be.
Next year, my husband and I will definately be returning as we feel that we missed out on so much.
I can relax back in the UK in the knowledge that our daughter has a point of contact at The Caretta, should she need it.
